Daft Cam

In a late tribute to the DAFT PUNK coachella news, here's stuff to get you more excited about the metal faced blip-bleepers. Some guy, Arthur King, mashes cam'ron with DPs Robot Rock, an otherwise repetitive rip from funk classicos Breakwater. Yeah, it's sick what they get away with since Discovery turned us all in to Francophiles.

This track is a nice little gem, coated thick. The non stop, beats on repeat, guitar riff sounds less like a drone with camron hasting all over it. Beautiful mutes on the track, to give you those magic on beat a capella moments.
Note on French visitors to The Phillips Collections Degas, Sickert, Toulouse Lautrec exhibit: A coworker told me this overheard conversation A six year old accompanied by his mom sees a Sickert nude and blushes, flush red. His mother aks him why he is blushing. "Mom, my pee hurts."

Tu me casses les couilles!

alive 1997 - daft punk live album

+DAFT PUNK to HEADLINE COACHELLA+

In a major upset of just about every drunken bet I've made while dancing to intestella 555,Daft Punk announced that they will play on US shores again. It's the first time they've been here in six years (read: they've never played harder better faster to a crowd shouting "freebird"). Why coachella you ask? It's the babes says Daniel Hunt of Ladytron:

"We played in 2003. It's one of the most luxurious festivals going, UK festivals tend to be pretty medieval - an exercise in human logistics, like an indie refugee camp, whereas Coachella is more about Tommy Lee riding carefree around the backstage on a Segway. And it's southern California, the gene pool is 1000% sexier than your anglo-saxon mudbath. (We) can't wait."

See below for more coachella dates, which is starting to look as good as the startlingly capable bonaroo.

ever had sex with an atari? now you have.

Cody Chesnutt - With Me In Mind (w/ Sonja Marie)

You may remeber Chesnutt from the seed 2.o from Phrenology. He's missing the sexy with those boys though. Here he's in fine faux form plucking the Breakout / PONG fm synthesis keyboard with LA spoken word artist Sonja Marie. Plenty of blip blip blip 10100011001101010010111101000101101101001010000101110

i'd like that

XTC - Andy Partridge's Ape Record Label

There's something smutty about a guy who has severe stage fright webcasting his new labels stuff. Oz, man behind the mask type thing. I don't know if his newer works archived here really prove anything past Apple Venus but they do show what we've been missing. Jump on the lavish XTC box set that came out last fall.

Tromp Trump

The Coup - Pimps

"if you're blind as Helen Keller you could tell i'm david rockafeller"

The Coup disappeared off the face of the earth shortly after this pre- Apprentice Trump emulation track came about. Mr. Getty apparently does handgestures while he raps. A gilded 80s party is transformed in to a deleted scene from Spike Lee's Bamboozled reimagined in white face. By the kids who brought you five-Million ways to kill a CEO.

edit: it cuts off at the end so enjoy harsh itunes crossfade

Superbowl Terror Extravaganza

The Superbowl that no one seems to care about is coming this Sunday and the best I can do is get a keg and root for the best mustache to win the championship. The banal bowl, hardly XL, live from Detroit, home of 30,000 less Ford employees.

Now if the Tamil Tigers were to give us the halftime show, something tells me they'd eschew the Hollaback Girl live rework with Aerosmith. Instead, have M.I.A. slam this while Jorome Bettis fumbles a freestyle causing massive strokes across the country.
